MIND Server Information and Descriptions
Purpose of Server:
The server plays a role in identifying and handling communications as well as housing information for access.
MIND servers perform the following functions:
- Authenticate users that have MIND accounts.
- House e-mail boxes and handle e-mail operations such as sending or recieving.
- Store and serve up web pages that are accessable to the world.
- Handle Newsgroups that are selectively downloaded to it.
- Act as a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server that allows uploads and downloads to and from the server.
